Therefore, in 1957, by order of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR on pr. The Krasnoyarsk Regional Art Gallery was founded by the Krasnoyarsk Worker. It first opened its doors to visitors on May 1, 1958, the event was timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the birth of Vasily Ivanovich Surikov, a famous Russian painter born in Krasnoyarsk. in 1982, the gallery was given another room on mira ave., a year later the building of the mansion of the merchant family gadalov on the street of the paris commune was transferred. On June 17, 1983, the gallery was transformed into the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V. I. Surikov. In the late 80s, a large-scale restoration was carried out, which gave the Gadalov mansion the appearance of a museum.
