My History Museum and Exhibition Complex offers visitors several permanent multimedia exhibitions. Among them are The Rurik Dynasty: 862-1598 . Its central feature is a large-scale 20-meter dome showing a video sequence about the life of Sergius of Radonezh. With the help of holograms, projections and video mapping, viewers can learn about the ancient Russian exchange rate and become participants in battles and the first information wars. The most popular artefact is a "living book", in which images appear before visitors’ eyes. The exhibition The Romanovs: 1613-1917 is also interesting, where the legacy of the dynasty is presented in a clear and visual form. The large-format screen, like in a cinema, shows the development of Siberia and the Russian Far East, the reunification of Russia and Ukraine, the founding of St. Petersburg, the victory over Napoleon, the incorporation of the southern regions into Russia, the abolition of serfdom, and more. There are also exhibitions dedicated to recent events: From Great Upheavals to the Great Victory: 1917 - 1945 and Russia: My History 1945 - 2016. The first of them provides the visitor with the true causes and mechanisms of revolutions in Russia, the true scale of the losses and a real overview of the achievements of this period. The second highlights the phenomenon of the Soviet Union. The Museum of Education contains a rich collection on the history of general education, including school furniture, writing instruments, technical teaching aids, textbooks, visual aids, school uniforms, documents, badges and posters. Thanks to many expeditions, an extensive historical and folk collection of archaeological finds, ethnographic objects (chests, utensils, tools) and urban household items (furniture, sewing machines, gramophones) has been amassed. The exhibition hall of the Omsk Museum of Education, Resurrection Cathedral: Museum of History, presents items found in the course of exploration work, such as architectural details, bricks, and artefacts related to the life of the Cathedral. A special place is held by the miraculously preserved books from the library of the cathedral.

The My History Museum and Exhibition Complex is one of the leading museum institutions in Omsk, which includes three divisions. The historical park "Russia: My History" ( 70 Let Oktyabrya street, 25, building 2) was opened in 2017. This is part of a federal project that unites 21 multimedia parks in major cities across the country. With the help of multimedia interactive technologies, visitors bear witness to the formation of the Russian state, passing through the ages of the Rurik dynasty, the Romanovs and Soviet Russia. The Omsk Museum of Education was founded in 1998. Its permanent exhibition is devoted to the history of the development of education. Here you can get acquainted with the history of writing materials from rock paintings and cuneiform to ballpoint pens, youth movements from the Komsomol to construction brigades and student unions, and computer technology from calculating machines to next generation computers. The museum building on Muzeynaya street, 3 was intended for the museum of the West Siberian Department of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society. It was built in 1896-1897. designed by the architect Illiodor Khvorinov. The exhibition hall Resurrection Cathedral: Museum of History is located in the basement of the Resurrection Military Cathedral. The Resurrection Cathedral is the first stone church in the history of the city of Omsk. Its construction was completed in 1773. The names of famous people are associated with the cathedral: the exiled Fyodor Dostoevsky prayed here, Mikhail Vrubel was baptized here, and in 1891 the cathedral was visited by the future Emperor Nicholas II. For 150 years, the Resurrection Cathedral has been one of the spiritual centers of Omsk. In 1927, the temple was closed, and in 1958-1959 it was destroyed. Only in 2016 was the cathedral restored. Bricks dating back to 1769 were laid at its foundation.
