Silver Age Museum is located in a two-story mansion in the style of "northern Art Nouveau", in which Valery Bryusov rented an apartment. Despite the fact that the house never belonged to the poet, since the 1910s, in Moscow, the mansion was known only as the "House of Bryusov".
There were A. A. Blok, K. D. Balmont, A. Bely, M. A. Voloshin, M. Gorky, V. V. Mayakovsky, S. A. Yesenin, A. N. Tolstoy, I. Severyanin, E. Verharn.
The museum's exposition tells about the culture of the late XIX — early XX century: about the poets of the Silver Age, about various literary trends and trends. A special place in the exhibition is occupied by the memorial cabinet of V. Ya. Bryusov, separate rooms are dedicated to the history of symbolism, acmeism and futurism, portraits of poets of different directions are presented.
On the third floor of the Silver Age Museum there is a studio "Weekend Fairy Tale" - a project of the Center for Creative Development of Children and Adolescents of State Literature Museum "Mark's Arch".
On the first floor of the mansion is the office of V. Ya. Bryusov, restored as of 1910. In the study there are things that belonged to the poet: his library, an oak table, a clock, a set of furniture with upholstery from the 1910s, paintings and drawings presented to the poet by artists F. Rerberg, K. Feofilaktov, A. Koiransky, N. Sapunov, N. Goncharova. On the second floor of the museum there is the only literary exhibition in Russia dedicated to all styles, trends and trends of the Silver Age era. Here you can find unique manuscripts and portraits of l. Reisner works by V. Shukhaev, M. Voloshin painted by B. Kustodiev, portrait of Andrei Bely by Leon Bakst's work and much more.

The building, which today houses the Silver Age Museum, was rebuilt from a wooden mansion by order of the merchant I. K. Baev in 1910 by the architect V. I. Chagin, who embodied in it the ascetic, geometrized forms of the "northern Art Nouveau" style. In the summer of the same year, V. Ya. Bryusov rented an apartment on the first floor from the landlord Baev.
After the death of Bryusov, his widow kept the interior of the memorial office, which was open to visitors. The house was twice subjected to fires and was designated "for demolition". In 1987, the building was transferred to the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V. I. Dal (then the State Literary Museum) and restoration began. In the year of the 200th anniversary of the birth of A. S. Pushkin, on October 26, 1999, the exhibition "A. S. Pushkin" was opened. Pushkin and Russian literature of the Silver Age", which became a landmark event: for the first time in Russia, a museum was created that gives a comprehensive view of the cultural life of the turn of the XIX–XX centuries.

The Silver Age Museum conducts sightseeing and thematic excursions, lectures, interactive classes that cover the period of Russian culture of its three decades from the end of the XIX to the beginning of the XX century, as well as the creative biography of one of the main representatives of the era — V. Bryusov.
